This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of medical coding operations ensuring accurate, timely and compliant coding for inpatient, outpatient and specialty services, including Emergency Departments and other ancillary services.  This role involves managing the coding team ensuring adherence to Federal, State and payor regulations and driving initiatives to improve coding quality. 

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing or a closely related field and five to seven years of previous work related experience. Certification required as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and/or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by American Health Information Management Association.
