Manager - Aviate Engagement

Let’s define tomorrow, together. **Description** **Job overview and responsibilities** The Aviate Engagement Manager is responsible for leading a team of Engagement Representatives in the end-to-end lifecycle management for Aviate program prospects, participants and overall Aviate partner network. This includes Aviate-participating universities, professional flight training organizations, Part 135 operators, and United Express carriers. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to streamline the processes to build and retain our pipeline of pilots in the program. This person and their team will focus on recruiting candidates for the Aviate program, evaluating partner performance and data, engaging with partner leadership, and providing program support through creation and execution of in-person and virtual events. This role will work cross functionally with United Pilot Hiring, People Impact/Events and other groups to facilitate relationships with partners and plan events. (up to 40% travel) + Engagement - Engage and support prospectives, candidates, and participants through information sessions, on-site meetings, participant events, and Help Hub. Provide timely correspondence to emails to assist with the application process and answer Aviate program related questions. (travel required) + Recruitment - Source, attract, and recruit interested and qualified candidates at Aviate-participating universities, professional flight training organizations, Part 135 operators, and United Express carriers as assigned. Provide Pilot Hiring applicant insights and feedback. Plan and attend partner career fairs, campus and flight line visits, partner launches, industry events, participant events, and in-person and virtual interview prep. (travel required) + Partner Performance - Assess, evaluate, document, analyze, and obtain data regarding assigned Aviate partner performance. Develop meaningful connections with partner leaders and provide feedback regarding performance + Presentation - Responsible for creating, maintaining, and presenting the Aviate program, United initiatives, core4 values, and the United brand presentation to large audiences + Strategy - Spearhead engagement plan for team to meet organization goals. Oversight and management of remote Engagement Representatives across the country through creation of schedule and approach for virtual recruiting. + Evaluating and assessing Aviate partner network regarding performance and ROI. Maintaining and enhancing partner scorecard. Collaborate with Pilot Hiring for alignment and the Events team for planned events. + Create and present information, engagement updates, and metrics to key stakeholders and leadership + Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and provide recommendations for improvement **Qualifications** **What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience + Aviation/Aeronautics, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related field + 4+ years of aviation recruiting, HR, relationship management experience, or related field + At least two years of people leadership experience + Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment + Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel + Strategic and forward-thinking + Process and/or project management skills + Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and databases + Strong knowledge of social media and demonstrated usage of tools such as LinkedIn + Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills + Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation + Ability to handle highly confidential information + Ability to build strong relationships and work in a team environment + Ability to quickly assess candidate’s skills/qualifications and attributes + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position **What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree + Airline/aviation business experience + Experience working directly with pilot hiring/recruiting + Previous aviation recruitment experience + Prior experience coordinating and attending career fairs + Data analytics/data analysis experience or related field + Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis + Knowledge & Experience in using Salesforce + Understands pilot recruitment processes and key drivers of professional skills development This job will be posted through 7/22/2025. The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $129,924.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
