The Team and the opportunity

 

EY is the only professional services firm with a dedicated Financial Services Organization (FSO) focused on wealth and asset management, banking, capital markets, and insurance. Our FSO teams lead significant transformations in the financial services industry, delivering project-based work and managed services to US-based clients.

 

As an Alternatives Fund Investor Services / Transfer Agency Professional, you will join a team responsible for investor servicing for hedge funds, private equity funds and retail alts funds. You will interact with investors, investment managers, compliance teams, and operational units to ensure seamless investor services and fund management. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the lifecycle of hedge, private equity and retail alts funds, from launch to liquidation. Understand various alternative investment vehicles and products for unregistered investments. Manage day-to-day servicing of alternative investment investors and third parties. Manage relationships with investment managers, fund administrators, and other fund vendors. Participate in and navigate fund launches, ensuring all regulatory and operational requirements are met. Support the launch and conversion of alternative investment vehicles. Manage multi-share class structures and investor onboarding processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, FATCA, and CRS. Generate investor reports and manage subscription/redemption processes. Drive high-quality work products within deadlines and budgets. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments.

 

Skills and Attributes

In-depth knowledge of hedge fund and private equity fund operations. Strong understanding of alternative investment vehicles and products for unregistered investments. Proven ability to participate in fund launches and manage ongoing investor servicing. Strong analytical skills related to fund accounting and asset management. Proven leadership and project management abilities. Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions. Ability to foster an inclusive team environment and mentor junior staff.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in an operational / leadership role and investor servicing within financial services. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or a related field. Experience in the hedge fund or mutual fund investment industry is preferred. Willingness to travel occasionally for client needs.
