We’re looking for a detail-oriented, risk-minded, and innovative manager to join the AENB Affiliate Management team. This new role plays a key part in our governance processes _,_ ensuring services provided by our affiliates remain compliant, well-documented, and aligned with regulatory expectations – including Regulation W 23B and the Interagency Guidance on Third Party Relationships: Risk Management.
The Manager, Affiliate Management, will be responsible for leading efforts to manage and improve the AENB Affiliate Management risk assessment questionnaires as part of New Product Governance, collaborate cross-functionally to ensure affiliate agreements properly cover new or modified products/services, and ensure the financial terms are aligned with expectations. The Manager will also own core documentation and quality control responsibilities that support ongoing governance across affiliate relationships and through the five stages of third-party risk management. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of affiliate management practices, contracting, and governance frameworks, as well as the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements. An understanding of American Express products, processes, organization, and governance processes is required.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
+ Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of affiliate management’s risk assessment questionnaires for new products and services
+ Ensure all new affiliate initiatives are accurately captured, reviewed, and approved in accordance with regulatory and internal governance standards
+ Validate that affiliate agreement documentation supports the new product/service and that fees comply with Reg W guidelines
+ Collaborate with Controllership, Control Management, and General Counsel’s Organization, and other relevant groups to ensure complete and accurate documentation of new initiatives
+ Coordinate stakeholder reviews and drive resolution of outstanding risk assessment questions prior to governance approvals
+ Project management of key affiliate management processes, such as annual affiliate agreement renewal, ad hoc projects to strengthen governance, and process improvements
+ Manage systems of record for affiliate management processes (eg. end-to-end contracting software, DocuSign)
+ Manage and maintain the Competition Price Reasonableness Assessment process to evaluate fairness of affiliate pricing
+ Maintain an inventory of affiliate-related data, including services, contacts, and metric documentation
+ Maintain strong working relationships with key business partners in the Bank and the affiliate, including but not limited to: US Consumer Services, Global Commercial Services, Global Servicing, Credit and Fraud Risk, Technology, Legal, and Finance/Controllership.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 3 – 5 years of banking, operational risk, and/or relationship, vendor, or contract management experience, with a focus on developing and executing risk-based governance solutions
+ Strong written, oral, and presenting skills with the ability to influence business leaders and partners
+ Strong relationship skills including the ability to effectively and professionally communicate and build positive working relationships across all levels within the organization.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, thoroughly document processes, procedures, and outcomes
+ Strong attention to detail and superior organizational and follow-through skills
+ Effectively works independently within a team construct while supporting teamwork and achievement of team objectives
+ Proven collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority
+ Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and act decisively
+ Strong understanding of U.S. banking systems and processes, technical skills/computer knowledge (including excellent Microsoft suite skills) a plus
+ Understanding of legal contracts and related governance activities
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous experience with project or program management is a plus.
+ Previous experience with Affiliate Risk Management and the Interagency Guidance on Third Party Relationships: Risk Management a plus.
+ Undergraduate degree preferred, graduate degree a plus
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
