How will you make an impact in this role?

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Account Development to join our team in Amsterdam. In this position you are responsible for the retention and profitable growth of a group of American Express' largest commercial customers. You manage the relationship with these customers on a Benelux and EMEA level.

Develop long-term account planning and provide strategic valuable consultation to meet the needs of your customer and American Express (i.e. benchmarking insights, program management, cost containment, mandated programs, cost-benefit analysis, supplier strategy and payments strategy). Develop and expand the contact map of your accounts both horizontally as vertically Leverage your consultative selling skills and our extensive suite of payment solutions to uncover new profitable growth opportunities in Travel & Entertainment, Meetings & Events and Supplier Payments. Strong collaboration with Global Account Development teams and other internal partners to drive growth and a consistent positive experience to your customers You excel in an environment where collaboration, accountability and commitment are key

Minimum Qualifications

Proven business to business consulting, account management or sales experience, preferably with large / global companies Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills with a demonstrated ability to establish, maintain, and deepen partnerships with customers, and identify and drive profitable growth within a portfolio Masters consultative selling process to present customer oriented solutions and exceed customer expectations Track record of over-achievement on challenging goals, redefining standards of excellence and taking calculated risks Ability to build strong internal and external relationships aimed at delivering value to our customers and American Express Full proficiency in English (both verbal and written) High degree of proficiency in MS Office, in specific Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical skills and financial acumen; comfortable with cost benefit analyses and selling premium product/service value A proven track record of presenting to senior executives, including C-Level Knowledge of the Payment Industries Dutch language (both verbal and written) Experience with Salesforce.com and Tableau
