About the role

As a Category Insights Manager you will be part of the Beauty Insights Boots UK team based in Nottingham who are instrumental in supporting our great Beauty brands and categories grow their business through customer, market and performance insights. We work with both internal and external data including data from our Advantage Card holders providing us with unrivalled insight into our customers.

You'll deliver strategic insights and solutions, working with a wide range of stakeholders across our Beauty business to lead commercial advantage by putting the customer at the heart of the decision-making process.

A focus on development across the wider team will provide opportunities and support for considerable personal growth and progression to becoming a well-rounded insight professional.

Our ideal candidates will have a mix of commercial understanding, experience with turning insight into action and analytical skills.

 

Key responsibilities

Act as a key partner to our Beauty commercial and marketing teams, supporting them in developing their activity, shaping the future of our business by providing customer focussed insights and wider business and market context including competitor trends and performance.

Build and maintain relationships with key senior stakeholders to advise on best insight solutions and champion the voice of the customer.

Identify and drive the business performance through holistic provision of insight, seamlessly integrating internal and external sources.

Proactive use of data to identify and quantify possible commercial advantage opportunities, influencing and driving the business for the best outcome.

Contribute to a culture of innovation, pushing boundaries and confidence to explore new ways of working.

 

What you'll need to have

Knowledge of wider consumer and customer trends that are influencing retail landscape and associated data sources

Plenty of experience in using market data sources such as Circana, Kantar, Euromonitor

A proven track record in managing stakeholders, influencing and driving business direction and commercial decisions

Experience in selecting, analysing, integrating and synthesising multiple sources of insight & data, translating these into tangible learnings & recommendations and delivering them with impact into the business activities and processes

Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks through managing priorities and workload.

Excellent attention to detail with a “Right First Time” approach in order to deliver best in class outputs.

Experience of Beauty categories would be advantageous
