About the role
The Layout Manager plays a crucial role in designing, planning, and optimising store layouts across our estate. This role is deeply embedded in business systems, processes, and cross-functional coordination—ensuring every layout supports commercial goals, operational efficiency, and the customer journey.
Key responsibilitiesDevelop and manage store layout plans using CAD and layout planning softwareLead a team of Layout Design Specialists, driving for continuous improvements and driving stretching KPI and development agendasBlend customer insight, commercial acumen and operational ease in order to deliver optimum customer journeys for our customersUtilise layout planning software including Blue Yonder and AutoCAD, and other internal systemsLead for collaboration across a wide cross-functional teams to ensure layout changes align with business processesStandardise layout templates and processes to ensure consistency across locations and differentiate by store Format where appropriateDrive process improvements in layout planning, from brief to executionOversee the rollout of layout changes in conjunction with store key initiatives and seasonal planning teamsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility regulations
What you'll need to haveA strong people leader, able to motivate and lead a diverse team with continuous improvement at its heart.Strong background in store layout planning, retail operations, or visual merchandisingSolid understanding of retail systems and Customer behaviourDemonstrated ability to streamline and document layout-related processesAnalytical and data-driven mindset with excellent attention to detailThe ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with a variety of different senior stakeholders cross-functionallyAble to embrace, endorse and positively react to change; leading for resilience across the team.Ability to lead cross-functional layout initiatives from concept to implementation
