Job Overview:

The linen manager is responsible for supervising and managing the linen clerks, in addition to the storage and distribution of clean linen for the facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

Healthcare management experience College Degree preferred

Full-Time: 40hrs.Shift: Day

Essential Functions:

The linen manager oversees the process of proper collection of soiled linen and the staging of soiled for vendor pick-up.The linen manager acts as liaison between the vendor and the facilities regarding all linen operations and initiatives for quality assurance.In addition to all other duties as assigned, the linen manager consistently promotes, supports and understands the importance of linen in patient care areas.Identifies customer needs, manages expectations and responds to inquiries in a timely and effective mannerAnticipates and avoids delays that can adversely affect the customerPractices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, training and initiatives Supervises linen aid clerksMonitors clean and soiled utility rooms for proper storage of linen. Performs daily documented facility rounds.Oversees the maintenance of daily log/tracking processes where appropriate. Conducts daily rounding and staff support.Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.)Performs all duties as assigned.
