Position Brand Description:
The Global Supply Planning Insights Manager is responsible for assessing the production plans being developed by our Network Planners that are distributed in monthly high-level network production plans to manufacturing sites. This assessment of the plan needs to reflect the current demand and supply assumptions including inputs from senior manufacturing management and Business Units as well as recent sales and manufacturing supply performance, inventory levels and any product family technical agenda projects. It is important that the Global Supply Planning Insights Manager works collaboratively with the GSC Network Orchestrated Planners to understand any current or upcoming supply limitations and look for insights to enable most effective and optimized supply plans.
The role will require strong teamwork within Global Supply Chain across Global Supply Planning, Digitalization and Analytics to effectively utilize existing and new tools to enable the most effective analysis of the production capacity to the priorities set by leadership. This would include all tools such as: Kinaxis, AI, Power BI relevant to the planning process. To include collaborating with Lilly owned and external manufacturing sites and with Global product owners to understand the individual products, resources, capacities & constraints, technical agendas, marketplace dynamics, regulatory changes, etc. This position is key to ensuring the reliable supply of medicine to our patients.
Successful candidates will have an innovative and strategic mindset - able to apply deep technical understanding to meet the needs of the business and will be able to influence across functions and geographies and at multiple levels within the organization.
Key Objectives / Deliverables:
Work with Network Planning Team on delivery of the desired monthly Network production plan by Site to enable detailed evaluation and integration into the local Site S&OP process. Ensure this statement of demand is in the planning systems (SAP, etc) and represents a planning horizon of 3-24 months and includes all launch/technical (flavor) agenda assumptionsLiase with Global product owners and Manufacturing Sites for annual Network business planningEnhance the capability within Global Supply Planning to execute scenario planningTo effectively implement Maestro tool (Kinaxis) and capitalize on the emerging artificial intelligence capabilities driven by the Advanced Intelligence organizationWork with the Kinaxis tool to set up constraints and objective functions.Automate, plan, and execute large-scale scenario analyses to ensure supply robustness.Engage in the implementation and application of optimization techniques.Work with GSC Analytics, Data and reporting teams to integrate with existing dataDevelop presentations and written communications for manufacturing senior leadership, business units, affiliates, and global launch teamsIdentify and influence the development of collaborative solutions working across business units, manufacturing, and other key stakeholdersIdentify and prepare topics for the GS&OP meetings, including strategic discussions on capacity actions, supply constraints, and key projects (including launch updates)Ensure supply continuity during complex global projects such as source changes and flavor management in complex manufacturing changesCollaborate with Strategic Facilities Planning for network projects via modeling, scenario development, and demand analysisBasic Requirements:
BS or MS degree (Supply Chain or Engineering degrees preferred)Hands-on experience with optimization, supply chain modelingKnowledge of decision-making under uncertainty, eg. stochastic1-4+ years of supply chain experienceAdditional Preferences:

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
