Manager, Transportation Programs III

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, dedicated Manager, Transportation Programs III to join our exciting and fast-paced Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving, an interest in driving cross-functional initiatives, and a focus on making data-driven decisions. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end outbound transportation routing from strategy to execution, finding ways to reduce transportation cost while improving transportation speed and reliability to our customers. This individual must be highly motivated, team focused, organized, and must possess solid analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Does this sound like you? What you’ll do:

Lead the outbound transportation routing strategy, execution, and monitoring for the entire Chewy networkLead a team of analysts and program manager. Assist in setting appropriate prioritization for team in alignment with broader organizational goals; delegates work effectively in alignment with priorities.Develop strategies for how to optimize the OB transportation network for both transcost and speed to customer, given warehouse and carrier constraints.Partner with tech and operations teams to improve our ability to implement changes, monitor performance, and fix issues to our transportation routing network.Collaborate with Finance to create OB transportation budget plans and adherenceSupport our procurement team on transportation carrier sourcing initiatives

What you’ll need:

BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or equivalent6-8+ years of Supply Chain/Transportation experienceExtensive knowledge of transportation, supply chain, and warehouse operationsAbility to collaborate with cross functional partners, influence decisions, and recommend a course of action based on data analyticsAbility to drive process improvement by implementing checks and balances and identifying process steps that can be automatedDetail oriented and possess superior organizational, self-motivation and problem-solving skillsTenacity pursuing issues and strong sense of urgency to correct/improveAbility to think strategically, big picture, and connect the dots, both short and long termSolid understanding of data analysis including advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, and TableauPrevious managerial responsibility of a team is a plusStartup experience is a plus
