The Manager, Export Compliance is part of Safety Systems Engineering within the Safety Division. This role is responsible for developing and executing a leading import and export compliance program, ensuring alignment with U.S. regulations such as EAR and CBP. You will also collaborate closely with legal, logistics partners, and customs brokers to ensure seamless and compliant global trade operations.

• Develop and implement a best-in-industry import and export operations compliance program, including policies and procedures, training, risk assessment, technology and systems, and other tools to streamline and ensure legal compliance for all business units.
• Develop and support comprehensive risk-based export controls and audit procedures to ensure compliance with US regulations including the Export Administration (EAR) Regulations and CBP,
• Advise and guide business units that export goods or controlled technology.
• Collect and interpret operational metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support business processes for submitting and obtaining US export licenses, permits, and certifications.
• Participate in selection of and liaise with customs brokers regarding import licenses, permits, and certifications.
• Liaise with transportation and shippers to provide seamless import and export operations.
• Work with Legal department attorneys responsible for providing legal advice and direction in interpreting export trade laws and regulations.

**Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience**
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with U.S.-based customs and trade compliance laws and regulations; experience at a multinational company preferred.
• Hands-on experience developing or maintaining an import and export trade compliance program within a multinational company
• Expert understanding of and experience with US import and export controls
• Knowledge of export/import logistics
• U.S. Person as defined in the ITAR and EAR
**Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience**
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, or ability to quickly become proficient
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, changing, and complex environment
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion and the ability to build and facilitate long-term relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels and colleagues across internal departments, both verbally and written
• Ability to relocate, if not currently residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area
• Ability to travel independently, including overnight trips of varying duration, domestically and internationally, and ability to hold a passport allowing unrestricted travel
