Manager, Territory Planning & Analytics

About this Role:

Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.

The Manager role is part of the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team in GSSO. The TP&A team is focused on designing the optimal territory investment, design and alignment strategy to maximize Sales (and Services) productivity. The Manager will be joining the Territory & Contact Enrichment team in TP&A that use various tools and platforms driven by automation and analytics to empower sellers with high quality bullseye prospect contacts quickly, pro-actively, accurately and at scale in a prioritized and streamlined manner.

What you will do:

Project management and Analytics

Lead a team of 4-5 data analysts, providing strategic direction and expert support

Analyse trends, data, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for salesforce expansion and drive business growth

Develop and implement strategic initiatives, recommendations, and process improvements

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reliability by identifying discrepancies and finding actionable solutions

Optimize existing processes to deliver faster results and improve quality

Drive actionable insights from data to inform strategic decision-making, focusing on key workstreams

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop targeted, data-driven solutions that meet project requirements

Lead critical initiatives to enhance visibility for management and contribute to the team's vision of delivering best-in-class solutions

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience in sales / sales operations, managing a team of at least 3-4 associates (master’s is an added advantage)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge on advanced excel is a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic team environment.

Experience communicating complex data through relevant means to senior leaders

Experience applying various analytic techniques (segmentation, regression, forecasting, etc.) a plus

Naturally optimistic, curious, competitive, goal-oriented and a critical thinker with an ownership mindset

Knowledgeable in key areas including sales operations, sales analysis & reporting

High on champion mindset and a quick learner
