As the Technology Transformation Manager, reporting to the Director, Technology Transformation, you will be responsible for leading Element’s mainframe modernization efforts, ensuring technical solutions are effectively aligned with business objectives, and overseeing the delivery of scalable, cloud-native systems in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

A Day in the Life   

Lead architecture, design, and implementation of modernization projects, with a focus on replacing legacy systems and delivering cloud-native solutionsServe as a strategic liaison across technical teams, business stakeholders, system integrators, and external vendors (e.g., Ensono, TCS, Capgemini, AWS)Own project execution, including documentation, roadmaps, proof-of-concepts, hands-on development, and cross-platform solution integrationMentor and guide a blended team of employees and contingent workers, ensuring collaboration, equitable workload distribution, and performance growthDeliver updates on progress, risks, and technical issues to leadership and peers with transparency and solution focusDrive continuous improvement and support transformation initiatives across departmentsUphold internal policy compliance and foster a high-performing, positive team culture

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required8–10+ years of experience in software development and application support, with expertise in both Mainframe and modern environments3+ years of experience leading large, cross-functional technical teamsProven success in mainframe modernization, system re-architecture, and migration to AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, API Gateway)Hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, Node.js, and React.js.Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesPreferred: AWS/cloud certifications and prior modernization implementation experience

Knowledge and Competencies

Technical depth in mainframe systems, cloud platforms, and modern development frameworksAgile, adaptive, and capable of operating in dynamic, fast-changing environmentsStrong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop talentStrategic communicator with the ability to interact across all organizational levels, including vendors, partners, and executives

The hiring base salary range for this position is $111,100 - $152,800 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
