You are a partner that understands the trends driving consumer preference; and knows how to deliver the qualities needed to help to create differentiated products. + Analyze customer needs, recommending suitable ingredients, providing technical guidance, and ensuring alignment with both application and commercial requirements. + Lead and participate in technical customer projects by delivering commercially viable dsm-firmenich solutions and driving innovation through tailored recommendations. + Oversee product trials at customer sites, optimize formulations and processes, while evaluating trial results by analyzing product performance and interpreting data to extract meaningful insights. + Coordinate technical discussions between customers, account managers, and internal teams to align on project objectives and deliverables, and provide strategic oversight to ensure seamless customer support and business growth. + Provides appropriate technical training for customers and sales teams. + Based on understanding of market and customer trends, and in line with global/regional/segment strategies, identify gaps in current offering and proposes ideas for innovation/technology development; ensure successful launch and adoption in the markets of new products. **We bring** + Collaboration with leading experts in the cheese ingredient industry. + The opportunity to grow a market and shape your own success. + Freedom to operate independently within your region, making key decisions while owning the results. + Exposure to a wide variety of cheese dairies, both locally and across Europe. + A key role in driving innovation by providing feedback for new product solutions. + A dynamic, international environment where you contribute to impactful customer solutions. **You bring** + Deep expertise in **Spanish cheese varieties,** especially **Manchego** , supported by practical processing experience and a BSc or MSc in Food Technology (or equivalent), ideally with a specialization **(5-10 years) in dairy or microbiology.** Additional knowledge of other **Southern European cheese types** , such as mozzarella and white cheeses, would be beneficial. + Fluent Spanish, professional-level English, and a good understanding of Portuguese; proficiency in additional Southern European languages (Italian or French) would be favorable. + Strong understanding of **flavors and ingredients in food matrices** , including ingredient functionalities and interactions, complemented by the ability to balance scientific rigor with commercial viability. + Proactive problem-solving mindset, able to swiftly develop and implement robust technical solutions, run trials, and analyze data effectively. + Confident engagement with customers, effective collaboration with commercial partners, and a proactive approach to identifying and leveraging new business opportunities. + Customer-centric approach, ensuring technical excellence, seamless internal communication, and willingness to travel occasionally within Europe to support cheese-related activities and initiatives. + Able to **travel 50-60%** of the time. **Our application process** Interested in this position?
