POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Hydraulics & Filtration will lead the H&F team and establish safe and consistent operations of all systems. Train the H&F team and manage the day to day operations of the department.  Ensure the proper operations and management of all systems/areas of responsibility assigned to him/her with focus in support of all other operating departments, provide services as required to the entire operations, and ensure all maintenance are carried out accordingly so as to maintain the freshness and efficiency of all equipment. Also responsible for the maintenance of the integrated electrical/mechanical automation systems and underwater scenic elements. The H&F Manager will lead and direct the Senior Engineer and the rest of the H&F department to achieve common goals and maintain the strategy of a safe working environment at all times.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing/ supervising/ overseeing the daily H&F works activities on House of Dancing Water (HODW)Manage and direct the H&F Team and Department, manage staff performance, hire new employees, create and manage budgetsDirect all maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all H&F systems, develop inspection and maintenance schedules and procedures.Maintain the pool water quality including daily testing and reporting.Create schedules for all maintenance activities and Training plans.Create and evolve training and backup plans for all systems and personnel in the Departments, as well as coordinate these backup plans with other departments and Stage Management.Maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures; participate in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.Work with the teams in developing rescue and safety strategies.Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances.Maintain communication with the H&F System Vendors and manufacturers for updates and repairs.Maintain and update the H&F System installation specifications, inventory of supplies and equipment as well as inspection and maintenance records.Coordinate with other Departments, the Director, Production Manager, and Stage Management for the running of performances and rehearsals.Manage the H&F yearly budgets.Be responsible to advise on the safe use of H&F systems.Within the entire Technical team, evolve safety programmes.Adhere to enforce Safety policies.With the entire Technical Team, establish emergency procedures for show systems, and personnel safety and rescue. Ensure the H&F Team is trained and rehearsed in these procedures.Adhere to all company policies and proceduresReport accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departmentsPerform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Director and Assistant Director from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:  

5 years of operational experience with leading a team of H&F/automation technicians in a large-scale theatrical automation system.5 years of experience troubleshooting and/or maintaining large-scale theatrical H&F/automation systems.

Education:  

College Degree or equivalent experience in H&F/automation, theatre or a related field.An electrical or mechanical engineering qualification or relevant years of related experience.

Skills/Competencies :    

In depth knowledge of Hydraulic Systems including: repair and maintenance of components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and filters.In depth knowledge of automated chemical dosing systems and water filtration including sand and cartridge.Knowledge of System Troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical and software.Good command in both written and spoken English.Cantonese speaking is an asset.Working knowledge in computer skills and use of all MS Office applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint presentation.Holding of valid Macau Construction Industry Safety Card is an advantage.Excellent interpersonal/presentation skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of staffs, contractors, suppliers and vendors.Hands-on and possess good problem solving skills and attend to details.Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.Frequently/Occasional ascending or descending ladders and/or ramps and ability to work in high rise site.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis.Ability to work on overtime when needed.Good health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation.PADI Dive Certification or desire and ability to learn to dive. (Training Provided).
