Compensation Range Annual Salary: $116,500.00 - $139,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.) About This Job The main purpose of this job is to assess and anticipate HR-related needs for the business and seek to develop integrated solutions by strategically partnering across the Talent Management function. This role is responsible for proactively working with executive and senior management in designated business units to align Talent Management services with their business objectives. Essential Functions + Serve as an advisor and strategic partner to leaders on talent management related issues, such as retention, organizational structure, performance management, policy interpretation, employee relations, conflict resolution, etc. + Consult with all levels of management as a strategic partner, understanding their business and leverage data insights to effectively provide advice; and at times, challenge thinking on talent management needs + Work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention + Provide guidance and insight to senior leaders on company policies + Oversee and resolve complex employee relations issues. Provide performance management guidance to leaders and Talent Management Consultants. Ensure team conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. + Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Inclusion, Talent Experience and Culture to have a coordinated response to business needs. Provide solutions/insights into changing business needs and internal talent perspectives. + Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs. + Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required + Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant information to team members effectively + Support budget management, planning and expenditure + Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required + Broad knowledge of the many disciplines within Human Resources, such as inclusion, compensation, benefits, talent experience and recruiting + Ability to advise and consult, skilled at influencing and challenging thought + Excellent stakeholder management and ability to develop good work relationships across the organization, knowledge of organizational structure and decision makers + Ability to empathize with others and instill trust + Basic data literacy knowledge – be curious, draw conclusions and insights from data + Ability to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment and is collaborative, accountable, and self-motivated + Solid Business acumen – ability to learn about the business and apply insights + Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems + Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business + Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals + Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing + Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values + Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Education & Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required + 6+ years human resources experience in a consultant, generalist or equivalent role required + 3+ years management experience preferred, or equivalent demonstrated leadership required ***For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles. This compensation range is for the Manager, Talent Management job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $116,500 to $139,000 annually.
