Your New Role…
This position will be responsible for providing environmental health and safety guidance to Warner Bros. Studio Operations for all stages, backlot sets, and/or offices at our studio lot, Ranch lot, and off-lot properties such as warehouses and office buildings. This position may assist with providing environmental guidance on U.S. and international productions for Warner Bros. TV, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Horizon, Telepictures, and WBD-associated entities producing theatrical motion pictures, television, and other content. This person will work closely with the Director of Production & Facilities Safety, production personnel, regulatory agencies, and various other WBD departments to reinforce environmental health and safety standards in all our productions and studio lot. This position may also be asked to work on general safety and environmental matters.
Your Role Accountabilities…
PRIORITIZE: This position will assist the Director of Production & Facilities Safety & department managers on projects that may have a higher risk potential and will assist in taking appropriate actions to increase safety culture. This position will also collaborate with the department to assist in determining when a WB Safety presence is needed, how to increase safety compliance with required regulatory matters, and develop relationships with WB departments and backlot crews.SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: This position will be the S&EA lead for Food Safety, Ergonomics, and other Studio Safety Programs.COMMUNICATE CONCERNS: This position assists in discussions on potential concerns with appropriate department heads. Concerns may include: fall protection, hazard communication, ergonomics, fire/life safety, incident/accident investigation, machine guarding, confined space, respiratory protection, non-ionizing/ionizing radiation, ergonomics, food safety, etc. Assists in assessing all potential hazards to employees, the public at large, and property.ANTICIPATING SAFETY ISSUES: This position will assist with anticipating potential safety hazards that may occur during a construction project phase. With minimal impact or delay to the project, this position will be able to work effectively with various Warner Bros. departments to assist in eliminating or mitigating safety hazards.RESPOND FLEXIBLY AND APPROPRIATELY: This position must have the ability to show flexibility and problem-solving skills. When the scope of work for a project is anticipated to impact the backlot, studio tours, and on lot clients, these elements are to be discussed with WB Studio Operations, Studio Services, and Production Rental groups. Whenever unresolved issues regarding employee safety remain a concern, this position may need to remain on site and act as oversight until a resolution is reached. REGULATORY LIAISON: This position will assist in collaborating with applicable local regulatory agencies and the WB Burbank Lot and studio locations regarding enforcement of any government mandates. This position will assist to ensure WB Safety expectations are met, studio protocols are followed, required documentation is maintained, compliance with mandatory training and credentials, and will also assist with notifications and reporting required by specific City, County, State, Federal, Agencies for WBSO Departments as needed.PARTICIPATE IN INVESTIGATIONS: Address and assist with agency investigations, find any problems, eliminate or minimize fines, maintain WB’s standards, and avoid repeat violations.COLLABORATION: This position will assist with the implementation of safety requirements while work is being conducted on the WB Burbank Lot and studio locations in conjunction with various department heads. Participate in the health and safety committee, and attend supervisor safety training, manage equipment assets, provide orientation for third party production and WB subcontractors.TECHNICAL WRITING: This position will develop, review and implement safety programs such as the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, fall protection, ergonomics, food safety, non-ionizing/ionizing radiation, hazard communication, respiratory protection, heat illness prevention, machine guarding, confined space, etc.Qualifications & Experience…
High School diploma requiredBachelors / Master’s degree in relevant area preferredSafety/Environmental certification(s) preferred5-10 years of occupational health & safety experience (production safety experience is a plus)Candidates with knowledge of fall protection, ergonomics, food safety, non-ionizing/ionizing radiation, hazard communication, respiratory protection, heat illness prevention, machine guarding, ladder safety, confined space, etc. is preferredThis position must have the ability to show great flexibility and problem-solving skills.Strong skills in researching, understanding and communicating environmental regulatory compliance requirementsAbility to create safety materials, memos, and bulletins for internal departmentsAbility to lead internal projects and teamsStrong technical writing skills are required for this position as this person will be interacting with legal teams and regulatory agenciesStrong communication skills are required for this position as this person will be interacting with all levels of personnel on a regular basis, and must be able to do so with great tact, patience and maturity to help influence satisfactory outcomes with a broad variety of clientsHow We Get Things Done…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $87,500.00 - $162,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
