Manager, Strategic Finance - Community Operations
_**This is a hybrid position, and you must be located in, or willing to relocate, to San Francisco for the role.**_ **About the Role** Joining Uber’s Strategic Finance team focused on Community Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities while empowering decision-makers across our support functions. You’ll partner with Uber’s CommOps organization — support centers, escalations, analytics, innovation, and global programs — to drive efficiency, insight, and actionable decision-making at scale. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where your structured thinking, business influence, and financial acumen will accelerate operational excellence and strategic growth across global support operations. **What You’ll Do** - Financial & Operational Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across the CommOps support domain, incorporating customer support metrics and global support program spend. - Strategic Analytics & Modeling: Build and refine financial models to inform investment decisions, track unit economics, and drive optimization across support workflows. - Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with leaders in Operations, Product, Strategy, Analytics, and Finance Ops to frame strategic questions, surface insights, and align on metrics and priorities. - Reporting Cadence & Stakeholder Alignment: Establish reporting frameworks (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and develop executive-ready decks for business reviews, advocating for financial rigor in decision-making. - Process & Tool Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting, and resource allocation through process redesign and tool implementation. - Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a small team of finance professionals, nurturing analyst-level talent and fostering growth. **Basic Qualifications** - BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field - 6+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Finance Ops, Corporate Development, or consulting **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience managing or coaching finance analysts and UX support finance teams - Proven ability to manage cross-functional finance and operational partnerships - Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; strong financial modeling skills - Technical fluency in SQL, Python, or business intelligence tools - Familiarity with enterprise FP&A/reporting systems like Anaplan, TM1, Oracle, Salesforce, or Coupa - Excellent communication and stakeholder management—able to “tell the story” with data, influence senior partners, and operate in highly matrixed environments - Demonstrated experience with process improvements, global rollouts, or high-growth support operations For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
