Serving as a subject matter expert to Walmart’s healthcare business by developing an increasing familiarity with and understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as other related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ensuring Walmart’s consistent compliance with HIPAA, as well as other related state and federal laws and regulations, by:
Responding to HIPAA Privacy-related questions and issues raised by customers, patients, associates, and leadership.
Drafting and updating relevant Walmart policies and procedures with input from Walmart Health and Wellness business, operational, strategic, compliance, and legal leadership.
Developing, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of, compliance-related questions, controls, and dashboards intended to address HIPAA Privacy-related compliance issues.
Collaborating with and supporting HIPAA Privacy-related communications to Home Office and Field associates.
Supporting the identification and remediation of HIPAA Privacy-related concerns by:
Proactively seeking to identify and respond to HIPAA Privacy-related trends and concerns.
Collecting and analyzing data, as well as creating reports and communicating findings to senior business and compliance leadership.
Participating in the development of recommended solutions to identify HIPAA Privacy-related compliance concerns.
Helping lead efforts to operationalize, monitor, and continually follow up with Home Office and Field leadership regarding the status of HIPAA Privacy-related remediation.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
