Manager, Software Engineering (UI/UX)- LPC.HEX, Hextech Engine, Player Experience

As the Engineering Manager, you'll be tasked with building the long-term success for your organization by helping define the product vision, mentoring and growing talent, and being accountable for delivering results.

As an Engineering Manager on the Player Experience team, you will oversee the staffing and guidance of the team's engineers to make the core suite of tools used in the UI/UX development of League of Legends the best they can be. For this role, you'll report to a Senior Engineering Manager. You will guide individual contributors on their long journey of career development while collaborating with other teams and disciplines to ensure that our work improves the quality of life and effectiveness of those partners while also. Our platform is written in C++ and makes heavy use of the QT ecosystem for UI/UX and we also leverage Python for several utility needs. This role is based in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities: Staff, manage, mentor, lead, and cultivate a team of 5 to 10 software engineers Support your team by working collaboratively with product, delivery, technical, and quality leads Ensure what we are building is serving the long-term goals of many content developers Coordinate individuals and external partners across the world in multiple time zones Design your team makeup, and hire so that it has the skills needed for your goals Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years working in an engineering management position on a team shipping large-scale, modular desktop applications 6+ years of software engineering experience Experience developing software desktop applications with a heavy emphasis on content pipelines Extensive experience in C/C++ development 2+ years of experience in game development industry 2+ years of experience working with UI/UX
