The Progress Telerik UI for Blazor engineering team is expanding and seeking a leader who can grow, support, and manage our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is an exciting opportunity offering hands-on involvement in hiring and team development, technical leadership, and strategic collaboration with a global product team. In this role, you will:Manage a diverse, cross-functional local team of 10 engineers, supporting their growth in alignment with business objectivesDrive collaboration with international peers across engineering, product, support, and marketingHelp define and align product and engineering strategic prioritiesGuide the team through all stages of product development with clear technical directionMake informed hiring and compensation decisions in line with team and business needsEncourage open communication, seek team input, and foster a culture of continuous improvementChampion major engineering initiatives within the Telerik UI for Blazor group and within the Web Division in the companySupport team development by recognizing achievements and coaching underperformanceApply SDLC methodologies, including SAFe and ScrumYour background:Solid experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, as well as R&D experience in software engineering across development, QA, or related rolesExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub ActionsProven experience managing small to mid-sized inclusive engineering teamsStrong leadership record on engineering projects and initiativesExperience mentoring both junior and senior engineersBackground working with automation, cloud technologies, or DevOps practicesComfortable working with remote teams in fast-paced environmentsDemonstrated ability to guide diverse, cross-functional teams to successful outcomesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to foster strong working relationships across teams and leadership levels If this sounds like you and fits your experience and career goals, we’d be happy to chat.
