Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
You will manage the daily activities and workflows of the SMB Credit team within the Moneris Credit Department and ensures that credit for existing merchants are dealt with following Moneris Enterprise Risk Management and Credit Policies/ Procedures.
Contract Term: 12 months.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, SMB Merchant Portfolio Credit Risk Management.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Manage the team of SMB Credit analysts to ensure merchant credit risk assessments are completed in accordance the above-mentioned policies. Ensure that credit analysis are in managing and mitigating financial, operational (fraud) risks. Ensure service level agreements are met.
Respond and handling inquiries/escalations received from merchants, Fraud Containment, other Moneris departments and external partners, regarding credit.
Assisting customers who require explanation of specific credit policies and decisions related to policies; in particular regards to Moneris requiring documentation or statements to pursue the re-adjudication review.
Ensure that merchants are kept informed on the credit process impacts and are aware of how and where to obtain status updates from Moneris.
Analyze personal and business financial statements and non-financial information (such as merchant/corporate ownership, guarantee documents, collateral statements) to make decisions within assigned Level of Authority.
Support members of the SMB Credit Team, Fraud, Sales, Operations and Marketing teams, about process, escalations and customer service.
Ensure new Analysts are trained within the credit role and equipped to complete their work within assigned limits.
Ensure that the SMB Credit team prepares the service level agreement reporting and that such is provided to the SMB-Credit group.
Comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including the HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy

Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Business/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Finance or a related field of study
Master's degree in Business/ Finance or a related field of study is considered an asset
CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset (Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)
5+ years of experience in personal and commercial credit evaluation; as provided by bureaus.
3+ years of experience in advanced financial statement analysis, review and critique.
3+ years of leadership/ people management experience
Documentation fluency with guarantees, letters of credit and corporate structure ownership
Excellent communication skills and networking abilities with internal and external contacts.
Strong negotiation skills, ability to influence and collaborate, ability to apply critical thinking to business issues and achieve results
Strong business acumen with analytical ability to assess the business and guide us forward.
