**Job Description**
**Main Role Overview**
Reporting to the Senior Director, Site Operations of Intercontinental, China and Japan, **t** **his Seoul-based role oversees site operations and health and safety for Gilead’s South Korea office, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace in line with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and local regulations.**
**Core Responsibilities**
**Environmental & Health & Safety:**
+ Establish and implement safety management system to fulfil requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (산업안전보건법).
+ Support General Manager to implement programs and initiatives to fulfil requirements of the Serious Accident Punishment Act (중대재해처벌법).
+ Collaborate with regional Environmental, Health & Safety lead to establish local procedures to meet Gilead Global Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
**Compliance:**
+ Ensure compliance of corporate policies, including EHS, security, procurement, etc
+ Ensure compliance of local laws and regulations, including all relevant statutory requirements of EHS and facilities operations
**Strategic Planning and Implementation** **on facilities operations and space management** **:**
+ Develop and implement strategic plans for facility operations and improvements.
+ Collaborate with the sub-regional facilities manager on long-term projects and initiatives.
+ Identify and implement best practices in facilities management.
**Facility Maintenance and Operations:**
+ Oversee the overall maintenance and operations of the office facilities.
+ Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and repair projects.
+ Collaborate with Corporate Security and attend 24x7 alarm/security-related calls/incidents.
**Other major responsibilities include** **, but not limited to the following** **:**
+ Vendor and Contract Management
+ Financial Management and cost tracking
+ Emergency response, Risk Management and Business Continuity
+ Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives
+ Fleet Management of the company vehicles
+ Business Analytics and Reporting for the region to the corporate teams
**Minimum experience**
+ Relevant University degree and a minimum of 5 years progressive experience
+ Fluency in English and Korean speaking and written communication skills
+ Environmental, Health and Safety qualification meeting requirements to register as Safety Manager & Health Manager as per the Occupational Safety and Health Act (산업안전보건법).
**Preferred** **qualification**
+ Qualified Building Professional (e.g. Architect/ Building Surveyor) or with a relevant master's degree
