DoorDash’s Risk & Insurance team protects and strengthens our business by managing corporate insurance programs and mitigating risk across Actuarial, Claims Operations, and Risk Management & Mitigation. We operate at the intersection of risk, safety, and innovation to support business growth. 

About the Role

As a Manager, Risk and Insurance, you’ll lead risk management initiatives, ensuring our insurance programs align with business growth. You'll assess and mitigate risks, optimize our risk portfolio, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive compliance and resilience. This role is remote-friendly within the U.S., with a preference for candidates near a DoorDash hub office, reporting to the Director of Risk & Insurance.

We’re excited about you because you have… Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications like ARM or CPCU are a plus. Experience: 5+ years in risk management, corporate insurance, insurance procurement, or brokerage, preferably in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management. Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex risks, analyze data, and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and driving risk strategies across teams. Organization & Compliance: Exceptional multitasking skills to manage risk programs, policies, and regulatory compliance with accuracy and scalability. Communication & Influence: Proven ability to explain risk concepts to executives and cross-functional partners, influencing key decisions.
