SailPoint's finance team plays a crucial role in providing support, guidance and collaboration across all organizations within the company to aid in SailPoint's mission to continue to remain an innovative presence in the cybersecurity world.
This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of all revenue transactions related to products and services in accordance with US GAAP. This person will have an extensive US GAAP technical revenue accounting background in a multi-element environment and have a proven ability to foster proactive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Worldwide revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAPEnsure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistentlyOversee and develop a high-performing revenue team, investing in others to help them grow, creating a positive working environment, and collaborating cross-functionallySupport stand-alone selling price analysisEnsure review and compliance with ASC 606 requirements, significant financing, material rights, and other revenue estimatesDraft financial statement disclosures related to deferred revenue and revenueReview quarterly and annual revenue accounting position papersManage SOX compliance for Revenue teamKey contact with external auditors to review accounting assessments and to manage quarterly reviews and annual auditsParticipate in special projects as requiredQualifications:
B.S. or above degree in Accounting, CPA required • 5-10 years of progressive experience - preferably a mix of Big 4 accounting firm experience (preferably at the Manager level) and public companies with multiple, complex revenue streams in a software environmentExtensive knowledge of ASC 606, especially under multiple performance obligations and software revenue recognitionAbility to conduct technical accounting research and document findingsExcellent verbal, written, and listening skills as well as ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisionsAbility to effectively present information with confidence and accuracy to various levels of internal management and external auditorsStrong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to changeExceptional organizational skills, project management experience to include management of large-scale/global initiativesAbility to train and develop employeesStrong knowledge of SOX requirements, including the ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls related to revenue and deferred revenueBenefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$97,300 - $139,000 - $180,700Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
