Our Samsung Electronics America Retail Operations Team is a growing a best in class organization within Samsung worldwide. In this role you will drive program and project management within Samsung’s Retail Operations PMO team. You will be responsible for the management of projects and programs within Samsung Retail, this role oversees the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of multiple projects.
Problems and issues faced may be vague, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating ambiguity. You will direct project resources and workflow through all phases of each project’s lifecycle, reporting on project statuses with clear KPIs at both the functional and executive level.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Strategize, implement, and maintain program and project initiatives that adhere to organizational objectivesLead multiple project groups (internal and external), ensuring goals are reached on time and within both scope and budgetBuild concise communication to all parties clearly outlining project objectives, timing, challenges, and call to action’s. Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvementMaintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performanceManage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity and on-time asset deliveryWork closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiativesDocument lessons learned to improve procedures in future projectsManage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiativesDevelop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectivesWork with other program managers and key stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the departmentAnalyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholdersMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred), in business administration or related field.6+ years in a project management; PMP certification strongly preferredRetail Store formatting, construction, and/or other Opening experience strongly preferredExceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of project management tools; experience with Jira & Confluence strongly preferredOutstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processesProficient in MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint and ExcelSkills and Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels within customer's organizations. The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, directors and managers with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple strategic programs and simultaneous performance objectives. The ability to write, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documents. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to support a cross-functional Samsung team to achieve customer contracted objectives and specific team goals within established time frames and requirements. Assist in and if needed direct the Samsung team in lab and field trials related to introduction of products sold to the customer.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity / detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand / finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position.
