Manager, Retail Injury & Liability Claims (Team Members & Customers)

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing high-impact programs that drive operational efficiency, employee experience, and risk mitigation across the chain. Manages a team and leverages cross-functional stakeholders to develop, implement, and enhance critical business programs, ensuring alignment with the company strategy and continuous improvement. Plays a key role in advancing vendor collaboration, program governance, and process innovation to improve both customer and team member outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
Leads the execution and continuous improvement of large-scale programs including team member and customer care, incident intake and reporting.Serves as a cross-functional liaison, building formal frameworks and methodologies to enhance stakeholder engagement and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.Collaborates with internal business partners like Legal, Operations, Safety, and Insurable Risk, as well as external business partners, to deliver enterprise-wide solutions that support team member's well-being, compliance, and operational excellence. May lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.Manages and works on issues of a diverse scope, where analysis of the situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends to identify gaps, develop actionable strategies, and deliver measurable improvements in program performance. Provides advanced expertise and knowledge in complex areas of specialization.Develop and implement procedures that improve organizational performance. Submits ideas that support the achievement of innovative goals. Implements innovative processes or changes that support the goals of the function or department.Outlines specific objectives and processes that are focused on generating innovative solutions to business problems.Manages, develops, and controls departmental budget and ensures alignment of resources to meet business goals.Represents the department in leadership meetings, providing updates on program performance, key metrics, and opportunities for strategic alignment.Develops and mentors staff through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in operational efficiency, employee experience, and/or risk mitigation OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of experience in operational efficiency, employee experience, and/or risk mitigationKnowledge of medical liability, incident reporting, and risk assessmentExperience with intake and documentation of liability claims or adverse eventsKnowledge of of legal and regulatory compliance in a retail or healthcare settingAt least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications
MBA/Master's Degree

Salary Range: $102800 - $164400 / Salaried
