The Manager, Retail Analytics, Customer and Category Management will be responsible for supporting the AD of Retail Analytics in projects pertaining to key Retail customers. The incumbent will work deeply within customer data and support in shaping trends in consumption data and reporting.
The individual in this role will be responsible for pulling insights from data in a streamlined, organized manner. The Manager, Retail Analytics, Customer and Category Management builds recommendations on our commercial strategy and execution by analyzing customer, category, competitor, and promotional activity.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Pulls and manages monthly market performance review meeting and provides to relevant team members to build presentations for discussion.
+ Develops a database of competitor's promotions, develops reports and shares insights and recommendations to the Retail Team.
+ Responds to ad hoc queries from the retail sales team and investigates and provides proposed solutions.
+ Establishes open, transparent communication on a one-on-one basis.
+ Collaborates with peers to share learnings, core processes, systems, and best practices.
+ Cultivates teamwork by facilitating cross department communication.
+ Engages stakeholders to address needs and identify solutions, driving clarity on business investment decisions.
+ Provides support to AD, Analytics & Insights as needed for Data Budget planning and activation activities.
Business recommendations and Insights:
+ Provides business recommendations and insights for all of Retail's key business processes.
+ Supports the development of clear insights and recommendations including producing information that can be utilized for customer presentations.
+ Proposes and delivers insights to allow the AD, Retail Analytics and Retail Sales Team to create compelling story-telling narratives and translating into customer-facing insights through the understanding of the customers' shoppers and additional appropriate data.
+ Actively contributes to business efforts to derive action items from results.
Supports business communications for currently underserved accounts:
+ Reviews opportunity proposals from the retail sales team and provide recommendations on potential scenarios.
+ Supports AD, Analytics & Insights to deliver category insights and learnings internally and externally.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Five-plus (5+) years combined experience in marketing, sales, category management, or commercial operations.
+ Preferred five (5) years’ experience coming from consumer/shopper/analytical or marketing roles.
+ Preferred two (2) years’ experience in a related role developing insights into execution from data various sources, with CPG customer experience; Experience in Omni-channel (in-sore and online eCommerce).
+ Preferred experience in animal health and/or pharmaceutical environment.
+ Familiar with Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, Kantar, Packaged Facts.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population.
+ Knowledge of market research analytical frameworks for conducting and analyzing primary market research.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and coordinate efforts with colleagues from several functional areas.
+ Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in the fast-paced environment.
