Manager, Responsible Sourcing

Position Purpose:

The Responsible Sourcing Manager plays a key role in executing The Home Depot’s global Responsible Sourcing strategy and programs across domestic and international supply chains. This position focuses on identifying, mitigating, and monitoring compliance risks while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to drive corrective actions, continuous improvement, and proactive remediation.

Key responsibilities: 

30% Engage suppliers on facility disclosure, RS compliance audits, incident investigation, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).30% Provide awareness and training on The Home Depot's RS standards and tools to business teams and suppliers and help enable our suppliers to drive compliance and promote responsible business practices in domestic and global supply chains.30% Implement supply chain mapping and traceability program.10% Conduct factory visits and compliance validation audits. 

Direct Manager:

The position typically reports to the Director, Responsible Sourcing


Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 30% of the time. It may include both domestic and international travel.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, or bright lights.  


Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across levels and functional areas to drive alignment and improve compliancePrior experience in leading/managing Responsible Sourcing in a large volume retailer/brand of consumer products/Global supplierPrior experience/knowledge in U.S. domestic and global sourcingKnowledge in systems and data analyticsExperience in implementing management systemsLanguage proficiency in Spanish in addition to EnglishDegree in Business, Public Policy, or related field


Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.


Preferred Education:

Additional training and certification in Social Responsibility, auditing, and management systems is preferred
