Manager, Renewals

Position Summary: 


The Renewals Manager (RM) leads a team of Renewal Account Managers responsible for subscription and SaaS renewals for a designated territory.  The RM is responsible for maximizing both revenue and bookings by optimizing the renewal process including mitigation of cancellations, up-selling of contracts and ensuring timely renewals. This individual represents the renewals team within the assigned territory, working together with other cross-functional leaders (sales, CX, finance, legal) to ensure an effective renewals strategy, policy, and process is in force.  The RM engages in complex negotiations and creates win/win solutions for customers.    The RM is a self-starter, proactive and has excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position will report to the Renewals Director for the assigned region.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Manage an individual and team quarterly and annual renewal portfolio for assigned territory Maximize renewal value, ensure on-time renewals and mitigate cancellations for individual and team territory Handle complex customer objections and negotiate renewal contracts independently as required  Independently collaborate and build highly efficient cross-functional relationships with order management, finance, legal and customer success and other organizations  Provide highly accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast of renewals pipeline for his/her team Coach and develop team to uncover leads, cross-sell and upsell sales opportunities using value-based selling techniques Serve as a trusted advisor to customers consistently establishing value beyond the renewal Lead special projects and promotions Train and enable Renewal Account Managers on pricing, policies and best practices to drive efficiencies and mitigate cancellations Work with the Director to hire, train and mentor individual Renewal Account Managers.


 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum five years renewals sales experience with a software company  Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with C-Level contacts Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail Must be able to work well with others as part of a broader team cross-functionally
 

Education/Licensing/Certification:

4 year degree in Business or equivalent experience

USA: $105,000 to $120,000 + Commission 
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
