About this position:

R2R Manager will be responsible for managing the record-to-report process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. This role involves coordinating with various departments and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and control.

Report to Group Manager of R2R.

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting activities for financial statement preparation, in accordance with IFRS, Japan accounting regulations, and Japan tax regulationsManage sales/rebate accounting activities, and pension accounting including monthly reconciliations, analysis and data maintenanceMonitor inventory/lease/fixed assets/intercompany transaction process and other closing activities including support and collaboration with overseas membersConduct regular financial analysis and reviewsPrepare legal entity statutory reports and all related schedulesCoordinate with internal and external auditorsManage/assist/join various project as required (e.g. system implementation initiated by global team)Prepare various documents as required (e.g. local accounting position paper) Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and comply with all internal control/audit requirements

Skills and experience: 

7+ years of experience in accounting management, financial statement preparation including operational experienceUS CPA (Acceptable if candidate passed individual subjects) or Nissho Bookkeeping 1st gradeKnowledge of IFRS or US GAAPSAP or other ERP systems and BIExcelEnglish - business levelJapanese - native or equivalentProblem-solvingTeam worker

Working experience at international environment, matrix organizationJapan CPA or MBAWorking experience at accounting/audit firmsManufacturing industry experience
