**Manager, Public Relations- Remote-Eastern US-Defense Solutions** As our **Manager, Public Relations** you will play a central role in shaping how our company is represented externally, through media coverage, press releases, and executive thought leadership. We’re seeking a communications professional to help us take our media and public relations function to the next level - maintaining the rigor required for high-volume execution while modernizing our approach to messaging, outreach, and thought leadership. This is a high-impact, high-output individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Marketing. Seek earned media coverage through interviews, article placements, and commentary opportunities. + Advance the company’s thought leadership by identifying relevant topics, coordinating with subject-matter experts, and securing speaking engagements, contributed content, and panel participation aligned to strategic pursuits. + Partner with internal stakeholders and Corporate Communications on messaging strategy, crisis communications preparedness, and reputation management. Ensure all external messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with business goals. **_Strategic Messaging Focus:_** + Collaborate with the business development team to ensure PR and messaging efforts support program pursuits and competitive positioning. + Tailor messaging to resonate with specific audiences, including government buyers, technical evaluators, industry influencers, and media. + Help shape narratives that strengthen our position in key market segments and reflect our value as a long-term partner to aerospace and defense customers. **What You Bring:** + 7+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or journalism; Aerospace and Defense industry experience strongly preferred. + Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates clarity, conciseness, and the ability to translate complex technical topics into compelling narratives. + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. + Strategic mindset with experience aligning messaging to business goals, program pursuits, and stakeholder expectations. + Familiarity with export regulations, sensitive government programs, and the communications constraints unique to the aerospace and defense industry is a plus. + Experience working with media distribution tools, media monitoring platforms, or external PR firms is preferred. + Confident working with senior executives and coordinating cross-functional input across business units. + US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain security clearance **What Does Success Look Like:** + Press releases are consistently high quality, on-message, and delivered on time. + Our media presence expands beyond traditional trade publications to include more national, technology, and business outlets. + Key company narratives are consistently reflected in earned media coverage and aligned with major business development pursuits. + Subject-matter experts and executives are regularly featured in bylined articles, interviews, and speaking engagements at relevant industry events. + Internal teams see this role as a trusted advisor who brings strategic insight, strong execution, and collaborative energy to every initiative. **Who We Are:** Our Values (https://www.curtisswright.com/company/sustainability/core-values/default.aspx) Environmental, Social and Governance We have been a publicly traded company for 95 years and our highly engineered, innovative products and services are recognized for their advanced technology and unsurpassed reliability.
