The Amazon Devices Beta (ADB) Team is your hall pass to play at work!! We are responsible for the “real world validation” for Kindle eReaders, Fire Tablets, FireTV products, and Emerging products…think, Amazon Smart Oven and Amazon Basics Microwave. How do we do this? By playing with these products every day! We work with product and engineering teams to prepare new product launches, system software and app updates, and marketplace expansions. Our goal is to gather feedback and expose issues and bugs prior to the product launching, so we delight our customers with products beyond their expectations.
Key job responsibilities
The ADB Team is seeking a strong Manager, for our Program Manager team, to help us build the next generation of Beta tools and testing. You will manage a team of 10-20 employees and contractors who own the end-to-end beta testing experience for Amazon Device products, including early-stage feature validation, user experience testing, and pre-release quality assurance. This position interfaces with feature development teams, product teams, engineering teams, QA teams, and Marketing teams within the Amazon Devices organization, as well as with functional teams within the Beta Program, such as User Research, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
A day in the life
As the Beta Program Manager, you will lead and develop a team of highly experienced program managers to achieve pre-release feature validation, beta user engagement, and successful product launches. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in tech and non-tech roles including Engineering, QA, Legal, Marketing and Product to drive the Beta Testing roadmap.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading resource allocation
- Early-stage AI/LLM projects
- Roadmap prioritization
- Managing team impact metrics
You will contribute to operational planning for beta programs, maintain/manage communication with Amazon Devices leadership regarding beta insights and launch readiness, and contribute to scaling the Devices Beta Program across multiple product categories.
About the team
The Amazon Devices Beta Team is responsible pre-launch customer feedback for our products. The team is composed of program managers who love technology and devices. Together with product owners, we plan and execute beta programs focused on gathering early customer feedback to help Amazon ship devices and software that delight customers. Our objective is to leverage the voice of the customer to validate and improve the experience and make an informed decision regarding launch readiness.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
