This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
We are currently hiring a Manager, Production Planning Management for our sunny Irvine, California site. A Day in the Life:
As Manager, Production Planning Management, you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. You will plan, direct, and monitor production activities, liaise with various departments, manage production line maintenance, and ensure a safe work environment. Leadership, time management, communication, and team coordination skills are essential to drive operational efficiency and team performance.
You will have several essential responsibilities including:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity and alignment with departmental objectives.Plan, direct, and monitor production activities to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, ensuring positive associate relations, enhancing associate engagement, recognizing achievements, and driving a strong safety culture.Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions.Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement.Ensure a safe work environment and develop pipeline talent.Make operational decisions impacting team performance and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining accurate and complete documentation, and completing required training.WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
