The Manager of Production Maintenance will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of skilled technicians who provide critical support to manufacturing operations at the site. This role ensures that production equipment, processes, and systems are maintained at optimal performance levels to meet production needs, quality standards, and safety requirements. The manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee technical troubleshooting, and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support efficient and reliable manufacturing.
**How you'll make an impact:**
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production support technicians
+ Establish and maintain a robust cross-training plan to ensure technical skill redundancy across the organization
+ Oversee daily technical support activities to ensure maximum equipment efficiency
+ Develop and optimize maintenance programs, troubleshooting protocols and other maintenance best practices
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment uptime, response time, and technician productivity
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
+ Manage staffing, training, and development plans for the technician team
+ Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and technical procedures
+ Establish proactive equipment reliability and planning schedules to maximize production up-time
+ Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment or process issues
**What you'll need (Required):**
+ Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related field with 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
**What else we look for (Preferred):**
+ Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
+ Experience working in a regulated industry
+ Ability to manage technical disciplines and demonstrated informal mentoring and/or peer leadership skills
+ Proven successful project management skills
+ Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite and related systems
+ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
+ Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
+ Extensive understanding of related aspects of manufacturing processes and/or critical support systems
+ Basic financial acumen as it relates to equipment purchasing/consumables management
+ Demonstrated skill set to manage small team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
+ Ability to influence cross-functional partners
+ Ability to integrate metrics into the projects and operations
+ Strict attention to detail
+ Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
+ Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
+ Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
