Manager, Product Software Engineering
· Exercise direction over the day-to-day operations of the activity or function for which the employee has authority. • Hire, train, and lead staff for multiple engineering teams in creation of best-in-class software platforms. • Manage and ensure team members are performing to their goals, or performance plans are expected to be executed while collaborating with HR • Manage performance, coach, and grow all the site engineers. • Collaborate with Product Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture, and Agile teams to drive development and testing best practices and delivery. • Lead and direct technical tasks, includes Encourage team collaboration, innovation, and project ownership. • Ensure each project team develops our product according to all software development standards and best practices. • Collaborate with Product Management to ensure delivery of product requirements. • Partner with Quality Assurance team to ensure high quality releases • Manage Technical Debt – i.e technical debt is raised, managed, and prioritized for fix. • Drive application security best practices within the development organization and align to the security policies in place. • Oversee the evaluation/implementation of third-party software solutions. • Manage budget for engineering team supporting Insurance applications. • Lead process improvement initiatives and stay well updated with technology changes. • Ensure compliance with corporate and division strategy and mission. • Drive */dxg strategic initiatives throughout span of responsibility • Lead application development efforts to meet and or exceed client expectations, Software Coding Reviews, Practice Agile principle on project execution, conducting effective requirement planning sessions and application design sessions with cross functional groups. · **Requirement** + BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related STEM field required. + 8+ years of experience in software product development with progressive growth in leadership roles/responsibilities + Proven ability to lead a team of onshore/offshore developers and collaborate within a team and across multiple teams + Proven experience in documenting technical commitments through a software development lifecycle including providing specific project artifacts + Proficient in Data Modeling and Object-Oriented design. Familiar with Responsive UI Design + Must haveTech Stack/Tools: SQL Management Studio, Azure Dev Ops, SQL Server, C#/C++. + Experience with Reporting and Analytics Technologies like SSRS/PowerBI or equivalent + Experience in UI Frameworks like Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery + Experience with Azure App Services.
