This role will provide support and leadership to the Procurement Operations team within Alcon AGS, with a focus on leading a team that’s responsible for supporting Procurement Operations across EMEA region with language specific support. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Procurement / Sourcing and a strong analytical background. The ideal candidate will also have a high level of organizational skills with the ability to lead a team successfully and the ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise. Candidate will have strong written and oral English plus one of the 4 core language skill i.e German, French, Italian & Russian.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Lead transitions and knowledge transfer for EMEA language specific processesLead processes that are migrated to the blueprint as per agreed timelines in required regional languageOperational ownership to delegate tasks, provide services at expected levels with a clear customer focus, including handling the exceptions.Coordinate with local teams & business functions to provide seamless serviceCorresponds to internal and external inquiriesProvide Analytical supportServes as a Subject Matter Expert for related policies and processesAct as System Key User Lead and actively initiate and participate in improvements to sustain a highly effective and efficient process, and realize cost reduction opportunities including areas to standardize processes to optimize investments made in global ERP/SAP systems and financial servicesLead Procurement team and provide hands-on support to provide quality services and effective decision-makingReview Performance Metrics of the team and Identify opportunities for improvementDrive and design the execution of Procurement and related process to ensure TAT & AccuracyProactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendationsClose Co-Ordination with Regional Business Functional heads and local business partners to provide seamless service and seek escalation supportEnsure effective communication with Regional functions, correspond to internal and external inquiries within set SLAs.Within scope of responsibility operate according to internal standards, external audit, regulatory standards and legal requirements Support local and global corporate functions in managing Shopping Cart and Purchase requisition / Purchase Orders processing, Shopping Cart Compliance, PO Amendments, PO Confirmations etc.,Shopping cart compliance and accuracy check, Adhere to Sourcing guidelines & various sub-processes as laid down for processing Purchase Requisitions/Shopping Cart.Review Purchase requisitions/Shopping Cart for Input data accuracy, Payment terms and supporting documents like Quotations, Pricing List, Contracts, Bidding Sheet, Approvals based on threshold and type of orders.Liaise between Requestors and Vendor for required purchasing process and provide helpdesk support – Missing PO, Vendor info, Invoice/GR issues and Contracts.Vendor Management and related supportSupport Requestors / End users as the First Point of Contact for resolution of all Process Queries / Issues.Provide support and consultation on primary contractual documents and processCreate Reports, Data analysis and provide Analytical support as per business requirements.Owns TAT and Delivery of team metrics, resolve process issues, determine root cause analysis for specific issues.Coach and Mentor the team to achieve their full potentialWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
