None/Not RequiredAs a Manager, Pricing and Accounting Controls, you will join the Finance Team supporting our Propeller Systems business unit. This role is responsible for overseeing the process of preparing pricing proposals for customers, primarily to the U.S. Government, and will be responsible for all accounting controls, including Sarbanes Oxley and Government Controls. This role provides the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams locally as well as internationally and will serve as one of the leaders of our team in dealing with numerous accounting and financial responsibilities across the site.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, teamwork, organizational and analytical skills, as well as a high level of motivation.
What You Will Do:
You will work in a hybrid capacity located in Windsor Locks; CT. You must be at a commutable distance to our Windsor Locks office. The range of time spent at the office will be discussed with your manager.Support proposal preparation and negotiations, working closely with departments throughout Propeller Systems.Perform as a finance business partner to identify specific needs regarding proposal pricing content and format, and collect, format, and disclose cost and pricing data for specific contract actions.Ensure proposals are compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company policies.Generate business cases to ensure proposals align with business goals.Deliver forward pricing rate proposal supporting documents to internal customers.Support annual cost accounting changes, as needed.Lead the annual Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, including annual risk and controls gap assessments, quarterly and year-end closing memos, and representation letters.Assign and approve all testing completed by the finance team, and coordinate and prepare various reporting requirements surrounding internal controls as requested by leadership.Deliver presentations to Propeller Systems management and customers in support of pricing activities and collaborate with other Collins organizations on cross-functional process improvement teams related to the proposal process.Lead accounting control assessment reviews as required, and assist in other reviews as needed, including internal and external audits.Train and mentor a team of pricing and accounting analysts to ensure organizational capabilities are met and individual growth is achieved.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and 8 years prior relevant experience in accounting or finance or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experienceExperience with financial planning and analysis or business case modelingQualifications We Prefer:
5 years' experience in Federal or Military Supplier Contracts, Proposals and Pricing, with detailed understanding of FAR/DFAR, CAS, TINA and DCMA contracting.Experience managing audit readiness and interacting with external auditors.Experience with pricing systems, SAP or ProPricer: ERP systems and OneStreamExperience building and facilitating presentations to senior management.Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
