Manager, Presentation Design
**Job description** The Manager, Presentation Design – Shift Leader oversees the daily workflow and performance of a remote team of presentation designers. This role manages project assignments, prioritizes tasks, ensures high-quality deliverables, and serves as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders during their shift. Key responsibilities include triaging and assigning projects, conducting quality control, mentoring team members, managing performance reviews, recruiting and onboarding new staff, and collaborating on process improvements and helping to maintain best practices with design and branding standards. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with expertise in design principles and relevant software. **Responsibilities** + Manage the shift workflow and daily operations of the presentation design team. + Triage, prioritize, assign, and incoming projects, and negotiate deadlines and clarify requirements with clients. + Monitor team workload, capacity, performance, and adjust assignments and assist during periodsof high-volume. + Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, training, and support career development of designers. + Conduct quality control reviews of documents to ensure all deliverables meet specificationsand brand guidelines. + Maintain accurate project documentation and records in relevant systems. + Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for direct reports. + Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, skills gap analysis, and training plans. + Serve as the face of the team to clients during shift, handling inquiries and escalations. + Prepare shift turnover reports and participate in regular leadership meetings. **Skills and qualifications** + 10-15 years of relevant experience in presentation or graphic design, with leadership responsibilities. + Strong knowledge of design principles, marketing/financial services industry standards. + Expert-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and relevant software. + Excellent organizational, communication, and coaching skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects and realign priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment. + Experience in quality control, process management, and team development.
