Description:Payroll Accounting Manager
The Payroll Accounting Manager, supporting the Enterprise Operations Global Financial Services (GFS) organization, is a strategic leader responsible for guiding a team of approximately 10 direct reports in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership acumen, and transformational leadership skills to drive excellence in payroll accounting systems, compliance, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
1. Compliance and Risk Management: Own overall compliance for payroll accounting efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
2. System Ownership and Integration: Serve as functional system owner for Payroll Distribution and Sundry, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, such as SAP EC, SAP S4, and Blackline Matching.
3. Accounting and Billing: Oversee proper accounting and billing of payroll distribution, sundry, and cash, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
4. Leadership and Team Development: Lead the team through significant Enterprise level transformations, such as 1LMX, and foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and development.
5. Process Improvements and Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, leveraging creative solutioning and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
6. Relationship Building and Communication: Cultivate critical relationships with Global Treasury, IT, Business Analysts, and other PFS departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
7. Resource Planning and Troubleshooting: Optimize resource allocation and troubleshoot complex issues, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience/combined education
2. Leadership Experience: Proven people and transformational leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
3. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience with accounting principles, risk assessment, and internal controls.
4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to review and validate large amounts of complex data.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead projects and process improvements initiatives.
6. U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:
1. Certified Public Accounting (CPA): Preferred certification, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles and practices.
2. SAP Experience: Familiarity with SAP systems, leveraging knowledge of system integration and functionality.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
