The Opportunity

This position works out of our Livermore location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business.  In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

As the Manager, Provider Relations, you’ll have the chance to lead the strategic implementation of process controls for evaluating, negotiating, implementing and administering commercial payor contracts by collaborating with and supporting the commercial and the operations teams.  Working in concert with Finance, you will have the opportunity to develop compliant pricing strategies that are profitable for the organization.  This includes the development of public sector contracting efforts (i.e. Medicare and Medicaid), and the management of the required enrollment activities to support those efforts.

What You’ll Work On

Collaborate on the implementation of pricing strategies and methodologies to support the organizations established targets, overall mission, vision and objectives.Define objectives and allocate resources to ensure commercial contract reviews, implementation and ongoing support of contractual payor obligations.Provides analysis and review of contractual pricing and brings visibility to needs for revisitation of established pricing, while meeting the needs of changing markets and competitive conditions.Liaise with other managers to ensure activities are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with overall corporate objectives.Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of enrollments and commercial payor contract professionals.Promulgate public and commercial enrollment and contractual obligations within the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field +/- 10 years experience in the fieldAbility to work independently and managing competing priorities routinely.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in related field15 years experience

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.

The base pay for this position is $128,000.00 – $256,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
