Manager, Operations Development
**Role Purpose** The Project Manager, Operations Development is responsible for managing the successful development and implementation of operational resources, strategies and processes for large complex projects that improve performance as measured by our Hotel Metrics. The role involves leading various project teams and utilising agile project management discipline to implement major initiatives. This includes balancing competing demands among scope, time, cost, and quality, stakeholders with differing needs and expectations, identifying requirements (needs) and unidentified requirements (expectations) and working concurrently with multiple departments as project plans are developed and executed. The role requires the ability to navigate large organisations to identify key stakeholders and influence and prioritise work effectively. **Key Accountabilities** + Own the day-to-day project management of large complex initiatives to improve performance + Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with direct supervisor + Develop detailed project plans, timelines and budgets + Coordinate internal resources and external agencies to ensure flawless execution + Track and monitor project progress and performance + Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to project stakeholders + Prepare project documentation (pilot plans, measurement plans, timelines, reports, presentations, etc.) + Create supporting documentation to test and implement initiatives (standard operating procedures, implementation guides, etc.) + Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, escalating to direct supervisor as required + Update project management systems with required reporting metrics + Lead cross-functional project teams to execute on on the design, development, and delivery of supporting operational tools and resources, in collaboration with direct supervisor **Key Skills & Experiences** Education: + Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Hospitality, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience + Project management certification (PMP®/ CAPM®/ Six Sigma preferred) **Experience** + 6-8 years’ project management experience responsible for managing large scale, cross-divisional, cross-functional projects with numerous stakeholders + At least 2 years’ experience managing Agile projects from inception to completion + Experience in hotel operations and/or a related hospitality field desired + Demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position, including experience managing waterfall projects, change management and/or continuous improvement as well as Agile **Technical Skills and Knowledge** + Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation and sustainment + Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to cross-functional working groups, agencies and hotels + Demonstrated analytical skills to solve problems, analyse data and make decisions that affect the project on a regular basis + Strong negotiator able to influence those outside own team across a matrix environment and to resolve conflicts as needed + Experience with project management software and MS Office suite of tools (eg. MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Excel) + Experience managing teams to deliver project outcomes, and working with peers in a team environment + Ability to work well under pressure and to manage projects in an environment with tight deadlines Don't quite meet every single requirement, but still believe you'd be a great fit for the job?
