Your Opportunity as the Operations Manager (full time, exempt)
Location: Buffalo, NY manufacturing plant
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
Willingness to work off shift hours (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) and flow to the work as neededReports to: Plant Manager
Direct / indirect reports: ~200
In this role you will:
Lead team of technicians and managers to ensure the operation meets safety, sanitation and quality standardsManage and develop manufacturing systems that increase productivity, quality and lower costsFacilitate, educate, motivate, coach, counsel and guide the manufacturing team to ensure that they have the ability to deliver resultsSustain and advance process for continuous improvementManage employee and labor relations issues that impact the operationDevelop a vision of an effective work system and a plan to move the workforce in the direction of that visionHelp oversee the production scheduling and training functionsEnsure essential business information is clearly communicated and understood by all members of operationTrack to KPI’s and utilize to make decisionsPartner with other functions to ensure services, goods, materials and ingredients for the operation are delivered in a timely mannerProvide a credible sounding board and counterbalance to the Plant Manager when exploring and discussing alternatives, concepts, ideas, etc.Ensure employees clearly understand the operation vision and results toward goalsEffectively manage the Operation budgetOwn an Operational Excellence PillarAbility to develop leaders and future leadersCompensation range: $121,500 - $178,200The Right Place for You

A Bachelor's degreeA minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experienceDemonstrated ability to build and develop future leadersPrior experience working in a union environmentDemonstrated experience in balancing the needs of production and product qualityAdditional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
