What is the Opportunity?

The Manager, Operational Analysis is responsible for driving data-informed decision-making and continuous process improvement across Client Acquisition Services. This role leads the development and monitoring of operational performance metrics, supports root cause analysis, and ensures alignment with strategic goals. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and compliance through analytical insights.

As a people leader, this role will establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support career development for team members. The manager will promote cross-functional collaboration and build strong working relationships across business units to support enterprise priorities.

As part of the second line of defense, this role will be responsible for identifying and analyzing performance trends, diagnosing root causes, and leading the team in the implementation of operational efficiency improvements. The manager will ensure that process improvements are monitored, action plans are developed, and accountability is maintained across teams.

What will you do?

Key responsibilities include building and managing operational reporting, identifying performance trends and productivity metrics, and driving action plans that improve process effectiveness.            

Develop, monitor, and manage dashboard reporting and SLAs:Create/pull, prepare commentary and distribute reports (with approval)Analyze reports (trends, anomalies)Collaborate with Process Owners and Operations Leaders to identify process efficiency opportunities and/or mitigate negative trends.Actively manage and monitor reports to identify/anticipate issues to be addressed.Analyze operational process challenges and use data to identify/anticipate areas of concern.  Share and present recommendations to drive change and improve efficiency.

What will you need to succeed?

Must Have

Post Secondary Education or the equivalentVery strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills required, (with data mining skill and ability to explore new technologies to enhance the delivery of financial informationStrong team and people management skills, and ability to play a leadership role across a wide group of peersKeen sense of numbers and strong analytical skills with ability to multitask and handle high-pressure executive level requests on a continuous basis.

Nice to Have

Experience in Insurance, preferably life insurance, group & individual benefits and/or both.Industry designationsChange Management experienceProject Management experience
