Role: Manager, Materials Planning
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Supply Chain
Division: Life Sciences Supply Chain
How will you make an impact?
As a Materials Planning Manager, you’ll lead a team ensuring critical raw materials are planned and ordered to support our Single-Use Technology Division. Your leadership and expertise will help maintain smooth manufacturing operations—driving real-world impact as we support customers making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Material Planners to support team growth and performance
Use ERP/MRP systems to manage raw material planning and ordering
Maintain master data accuracy to generate reliable demand signals
Adjust item settings and manage exception messages to ensure system integrity
Collaborate with suppliers to align material delivery with production needs
Identify and escalate supplier performance issues to Procurement
Provide rolling component forecasts to support sourcing and supplier communication
Build inventory projections across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Deliver insights for S&OE and SIOP meetings on inventory risks and opportunities
Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence
Promote cross-training and continuous improvement within the team
Support growth and harmonization initiatives across the division
Perform additional duties as needed
Preferred experience:
7+ years in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain roles
Strong understanding of manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and supply chain processes
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE)
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM/CSCP, ISM CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt+

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $101,300.00–$135,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
