This position is responsible for the following functions; supplier planning, production scheduling, and inventory control. In addition, the position has responsibility for the shipping and receiving functions along with the physical movement of material thru the BW Seneca campus.

Standard Duties :  

Directs and coordinates the activities within the PC&L departmentDeliver cost reductions to attain Plant financial targets, while administering the highest levels of QualityResponsible to oversee that raw materials and components are available for productionDirects scheduling and shipping departments to ensure customer demands and expectation are metProvide leadership, discipline, and support to ensure the highest level of safety, housekeeping(5S), and professionalism within the PC&L departmentMeet/exceed targets for customer performance metricsDirects all planning functions to ensure efficient, timely delivery of partEnsure compliance with all related TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.Manage planning and inventory control activities for engineering changes, part revisions, launches and buildoutsCreate, Verify, Implement & Sustain new processes while enhancing existing onesEnsure inventory cost targets are met while developing action plans to reduce on hand inventory, in addition to attaining inventory accuracyWork to optimize standard freight cost on a monthly basis in line with target and develop action plans to eliminate premium freightManage the production schedule with efficient communication while ensuring weekly targets are achievedProvide the proper delivery service to the Operation while tracking all downtime and all other related KPIsEnsure SAP is being utilized for full functionality in supplier planning, production scheduling, inventory and logistics across PC&L

Additional Information:

Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.  MBA preferred.8 years’ experience in logistics and SCM related field.8 years of relevant experience supervising a salaried and hourly workforce and logistics functions.Intermediate level WMS experience, SAP preferred.Ability to develop employees and provide mentoring.Recognized expert with ability to train others.
