Job Overview: Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Marketing/PR at RWJUH Somerset, the Manager of Marketing & Public Relations will develop and implement communication strategy to support marketing initiatives at RWJUH Somerset, RWJBH s Central Region and RWJBHs key service lines, developing key messages and content that supports the organization s priorities. The Manager will interact will all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, management, physicians, Trustees and community partners, as well as colleagues throughout the RWJBH Marketing Department, including Visual Communications, Creative Services, Social Media, Digital and Interactive Services, Internal Communications and Public Relations. Scheduling Requirements: + Physical Working Location: RWJ Somerset, Somerville, NJ + Working Hours: M-F 9A-5P + Occasional weekend/evenings required, Rotating on-call coverage for media calls + Some travel may be required, Qualifications: Required: + The qualified candidate will hold a Bachelor s Degree, preferably in communications, marketing or related discipline in the healthcare environment + Successful candidate will have more than 5 years of proven marketing experience at either a for-profit or non-profit organization + Must be a strong writer Essential Functions + Internal Communication Manages internal communications, including updating content on employee intranet and internal communications platform, creating and distributing weekly employee enewsletter and monthly nursing enewsletter, updating digital employee message boards and assisting in crafting executive communications, including speeches + In addition, supports advancing system-level internal communications locally as needed, + Marketing Coordinates marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, banners and giveaways, + Assists with production of quarterly hospital magazine, annual reports and monthly cable TV show + Updates hospital Web site + Assists with special events as needed, + Public Relations Establishes and maintains relationships with news media and represents RWJUH Somerset to the media when Assistant Vice President is not available + Drafts press releases and media statements as needed in collaboration with corporate PR team + Rotates on-call media coverage + Social Media Management Manages the hospital s social media strategy, maintaining the hospital s Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram accounts, + Manages online reputation and responds to consumer inquiries through social media and Web site, + Regional and Service Line Support Assist with marketing initiatives for RWJBH s Central Region and RWJBH s key service lines as needed, Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
