Manager, Marketing - Merchant Communications

We support merchant communication and services through thoughtful consultation and strategic partnerships with marketing and product teams across the globe. As a Manager within Merchant Communications Solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading team members, based out of US. This team is responsible for developing strong partnerships with a variety of constituents across enterprise teams including Merchant marketing, commercial and ECMX, to consult on marketing & segmentation strategies for various Merchant communication plans, and ensure those strategies are executed and implemented into effective segmentation architecture and flawlessly delivered to market. Lead and develop colleagues whilst providing both strategic and day-to-day guidance & support as part of ECES objectives to drive flawless delivery and process transformation. Successful candidate would provide comprehensive marketing campaign consultation, solution design and execution services to Marketing partners across US & International regions, to enable customer & merchant segmentation, targeting & eligibility lists, in support of American Express’ strategic priorities. Understand Merchant marketing strategies, provide campaign segmentation consultation to enable those strategies, and ultimately ensure effective delivery to market. Collaborate with key stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Technologies, GCO/Legal, Compliance and Operational Excellence to align on campaign objectives, feasibility and overall operational risk - ensuring we can deliver on the promise to our customers. Monitor and analyze data, assess trends and determine actions to optimize business and operational performance. Partner with MarTech Product teams and other stakeholders to identify and implement process transformation opportunities across the marketing lifecycle – with a focus on driving speed to market, agility and improved quality metrics. Build internal & external Marketing Operations (MarOps/MarTech) expertise - understand the possibilities/nuances of AXP MarTech products, processes & capabilities available to our marketing partners. Provide outstanding customer service to marketing colleagues across the enterprise. **Minimum Qualifications** + Responsible for Consultation and execution of Targeting & Eligibility lists for B2B Merchant strategies with 100% Quality & Timeliness + Excellence in stakeholder management skills to build strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. + Must have a positive, collaborative leadership style with colleague and customer first approach. + Prior Experience of marketing operations and/or Merchant data strongly preferred. + Consistent record of driving results in a fast-paced environment with a customer-first mindset. + Ability to recognize issues quickly and determine how to get a resolution through creative and efficient problem solving. + Ability to put enterprise thinking first, connect the role’s agenda to company priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders. + Strong Program Management, analytical & problem-solving skills. + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or any other relevant qualification. + 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience. + Understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure preferred. **Qualifications** Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
