+ The Manager, MEAA Investigations is part of the Regulatory and Environmental team within the Safety Division. The Manager of MEAA (Maintenance Event Assessment Aid) Investigations leads a team that is responsible for conducting timely and quality MEAA investigations. This position interacts with and presents to operational leaders, union safety representatives, senior managers, executive leadership, and department heads within the assigned location.

+ Manages and supports the team in investigating maintenance errors and violations caused by non-compliance to AA manuals or CFR requirements.
+ Follow established investigation process – interview involved individuals and witnesses, collect relevant facts and documentation. Create concise reporting of investigation findings.
+ Assess the need for Reasonable Cause drug testing in accordance with the airlines Drug & Alcohol Policy as required
+ Makes recommendations from investigation findings to prevent reoccurrence
+ Brief investigation outcomes/results to Sr. Level Leadership, Union Representatives, and Company Regulatory Compliance personnel
+ Ensure all actions are compliant with internal policies, safety standards, and labor agreements
+ Partners with other departments as well as union representatives to address safety concerns and establish processes that result in the continuous improvement of compliance
+ Solicits and processes safety and compliance improvement suggestions
+ Prepares consolidated reports when required by company management, the FAA, and/or interested parties
+ Ensure the quality of learning investigations for accidents, incidents, instances of non-compliances and near-misses, provide insights into the root causes and contributing factors, as well as recommendations to prevent re-occurrence.
+ Communicates with team and business partners on the status of trending compliance and/or safety concerns.
+ Performs any additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned, in order to achieve departmental and company safety objectives
+ Travel required – up to 25% of the time
**All you'll need for success**
**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Aviation
+ 5+ years of experience in safety management, investigation, or a related field
+ Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ 3 years of leadership experience
+ Experience in airline technical operations
+ FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
+ OSHA Safety Certification
+ Drug & Alcohol Testing Awareness Training
+ Safety Management System (SMS) Training
+ Completion of an accredited training course in safety that includes accident investigation procedures and techniques
**Skills, Licenses & Certifications**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
+ Proficient in AA Technical Operations systems
+ Strong understanding of aviation maintenance protocols and safety regulations.
+ Familiarity with union agreements, particularly TWU/IAM Association CBA
+ Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to remain calm and objective during high-pressure situations
+ Proficient in using checklists and structured investigation tools
+ Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations and company policies and procedures
+ Experience interfacing with FAA, government agencies, labor and inter-department communications
+ Training applicable to requirements of position
