Manager, Linehaul - Hybrid

What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager, Linehaul at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

5 years of experience in an LTL, supply chain or transportation service company Prior experience purchasing LTL and Truckload transportation Previous supervisory experience in a team-focused environment  Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management techniques and processes  Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); able to perform and direct moderately complex analysis in Excel Strong analytical skills including using business intelligence tools Able to manage personnel on-site and remotely 

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, etc. or equivalent combination of education, training and experience  Available to travel up to 25% of the time Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and leadership skills  Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials and information  P&L management experience

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Collaborate with direct reports and departmental teams on achieving goals and performance targets Drive for results through leadership and clear communication with the team; create continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability  Participate in establishing strategic plans with the senior management team; develop IT solutions, BI reports and third-party transportation providers Partner with field management teams to aggressively search for opportunities to improve operational execution, cost savings and profitability  Collaborate with all levels and departments to include executives and leaders of several functional areas, including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, IT, BI and Safety Provide strategic leadership and direction for assigned area; manage multiple teams with related activities that represent or significantly impact a sub-function Oversee projects that directly impact business unit strategy  Participate in business unit or corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people Continually review network design and apply modifications as needed Build and maintain partnerships with third-party transportation providers #LI-Hybrid
